DMX512: Revolution in Electronic Lighting Systems
WHAT ARE DMX SYSTEMS?
DMX (Digital Multiplex) based control systems refer to an industry standard for combining lighting and sound equipment to provide professional level control. The Oliptek Animation Control series includes products that stand out in this field and offer various advantages.
WHAT IS DMX LUMINAIRE?
WHAT DOES IT DO?
DMX systems offer the opportunity to manage many devices used in stage lighting, animated lighting of building facades, concert lighting, theater and event venues from a single control point. Oliptek’s DMX-based master control systems and decoders offer ideal solutions for flexibly managing facade lighting-animation products.
IN WHICH AREAS IS DMX LIGHTING USED?
The versatility of DMX lighting makes it useful in a wide range of applications, from theaters to concerts, clubs to churches and schools. You can also use DMX in everything from museums to retail stores, from TV studios to stadiums and hotels. The main advantage of DMX controlled lighting is that it offers complete control. You can program the LED lights to create any desired effect. You can instantly control density, color and other parameters.

WHAT IS A DMX CHANNEL?
The DMX channel has a universe of 512 channels and you can program fixtures or devices to any of these channels. Each DMX channel controls a specific parameter of the fixture; for example, for fixtures equipped with RGBW or RGBA color LEDs, there may be channel 1 that controls red color, channel 2 that controls green. DMX fixtures require multiple channels and you can control the fixture in different ways to display the desired result.
PROFESSIONAL LIGHTING MANAGEMENT
Oliptek’s DMX-based control series offers users a wide range of features. Features such as time-based programming, color transition effects, brightness control allow you to achieve creative and customizable solutions in your facade lighting-animation projects.
VARIOUS USAGE AREAS
Oliptek’s products address a wide range of uses, from building facades to city landscapes. You can use these systems to dynamically control your facade lighting and apply various effects, creating impressive and eye-catching spaces.
- Zone/circuit selection: Allows you to select the units or channels you want to control.
- Color Selection: Controls the output color of your lights. (More advanced controllers allow more specific value adjustments)
- Dimming/Dimming Control: Allows you to achieve desired dimming tones and can combine your color selection with dimming control.
- Program Selection: Includes features such as Strobe. More advanced controllers allow you to program more complex effects.
WHAT IS DMX DECODER?
DMX decoders act as information managers for the LEDs and allow multiple decoders to be controlled through one controller. Decoders can be controlled individually or as a group, specifically grouped when different effects or colors are required.
WHAT IS DMX REPEATER?
A DMX Repeater is an electronic box that takes one DMX line and multiplexes it into 2 or more DMX lines. It is used in cases where more than a few DMX fixtures are used or they are located at different points. DMX Repeater allows the control of dozens of fixtures with programmable effects in lighting systems.
